Arts, entertainment and culture collide for Macy’s Museum Month in San Diego. This February the San Diego Museum Council and Macy’s have teamed up again for Museum Month, giving patrons a chance to discover what’s new at more than 40 area museums with savings only seen once a year.

Participants can pick up a Museum Month Pass at any area Macy’s store to enjoy half-off admission to all of the participating museums through the entire month of February.

Guests with a pass can bring up to three people to participating museums to receive half-off admission for the entire party. Additional fees may apply for special exhibitions.

Remember to keep your pass all month long and explore a few new museums!  The museums in around the Gaslamp Quarter participating in this 27th annual event are,….

Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House

The Davis-Horton House, built in 1850, is the oldest house in San Diego’s Historic Gaslamp Quarter. There are house tours available every day but Monday. Walk inside and you will be transported back to the Victorian Era, where each room represents a different period and function. You can experience the feeling of sailing back through time and living the way early San Diegans did.A trip to the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House is especially timely this year for the 150th celebration

The New Childrens Museum

The New Children’s Museum is a new model of children’s museum whose mission is to stimulate imagination, creativity and critical thinking in children and familites through inventive and engaging experience with contemporary art. The Museum is a few blocks away from the Gaslamp Quarter and right now has great exhibits like, “sand box gallery,” “wobbleland”. The New Children’s Museum is a great place to think, play, and create.
