Director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) will be in attendance, arriving in San Diego fresh from the film’s world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film-packed weekend Fest wraps up Sunday night with the Closing Night premiere of Morning Light. A must-see for sailing enthusiasts, this true-life documentary tells an inspiring tale of daring young men and women learning to work as a team as they test their endurance on the high seas in a dramatic 2,300-mile showdown against top professionals. Filmmaker Roy E. Disney and crew member Piet van OS are just a few scheduled to attend the screening.
The SDFF programming team also recognized a growing national and international trend in movie making – the rise of the powerful documentary.
