Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts holds the current award for Gaslamp’s Favorite Fine Art Gallery and Gaslamp’s longest established Gallery. You’ll find this sleek space is home to fun contemporary art, modern paintings and one-of-a-kind sculptures. Wine, drama, whimsy, rock & roll and nationally recognized names are all comfortable here. Look for works from Thomas Arvid, Dale Mathis, Todd White, & Sebastian Kruger.
The Art of Tim Cantor: A specialized gallery exhibiting the personal works of the renowned artist, Tim Cantor, is a magical stop amid Gaslamp’s varied chaos. Each piece in his serene studio is full of mood and mystery. The feeling they create is enchanting and each work is thought provoking, many complimented with verse. Look for Tim’s lovely wife, Amy, at the helm and as his muse in several of his more passionate works. Exclusive Collections Historic Gaslamp Gallery is another visually delectable location. The gallery sits on the corner of Fifth Avenue & Market Street in the center hub of the Gaslamp. Paintings, sculpture and delicate glass works make up the majority of their space. They showcase an amazing array of artists and often host live painting demonstrations and public shows for their featured artists. Personally we love Christopher M., Michael Flohr and Asencio. Chuck Jones Gallery is full of smiles. The most famous animation artist in the world has a sweet spot here in San Diego that will tickle you, inspire you and most certainly make you nostalgic for Looney Tunes and Warner Brother's captivating cartoons. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and all of the original characters that Jones penned are available in prints, giclee and sculpture. Rare originals and interesting artists that live in the same realm can also be found. Watch them closely around Comic-con when animation greats like Stan Lee have made cameos in their bright & entertaining Fifth Avenue space.
