Throughout the Month of June:


WORLD CUP - Where can you get your fix for World Cup fever? Here's our list of Gaslamp Quarter businesses showing World Cup games: 

  • Allure Restaurant (825 4th Ave.) - One of the Gaslamp's newest restaurants are also huge footballer fans - World Cup devotees will find a happy home here. Allure Restaurant will have special hours this month to show most World Cup games. Visit them from Monday - Sunday from noon to 10PM, and Friday-Saturday from noon - 11PM.
  • barleymash (600 5th Ave.) - If the numerous international flags lining their property isn't indication enough, barleymash invites all football fans to cheer on their favorites. Enjoy happy hour specials during afternoon games. 
  • Blarney Stone Pub (510 5th Ave.) - The self-proclaimed "World Cup Headquarters" will be showing every game! This Irish pub was recently renovated, so take a peek and cheer on your favorite team!
  • The Broken Yolk Cafe (355 6th Ave.) - Proprietor Jose is such a fan, he's heading to Brazil! But he's making sure those of us back home won't be left out of the World Cup festivities. From June 12 - July 13 noon to 3PM, enjoy a massive burger, fries and beer deal for just $10 to kick off the World Cup. More info>>
  • Cafe Sevilla Restaurant & Tapas Bar (353 5th Ave.) - All month and through July, Cafe Sevilla will be showing most of World Cup games for you, whether you're cheering, "Viva España!" or not. Don't miss out on their delicious happy hours specials, including refreshing sangria and tapas, or small plates. 
  • The Field Authentic Irish Pub & Restaurant (544 5th Ave.) - So you want to watch every single World Cup game? Let The Field be your home away from home for the next month. The Field will be offering happy hour deals during afternoon games and all World Cup matches. Don't miss out on their World Cup trivia night on Thursday, June 12 to kick off the festivities. 
  • Gaslamp Tavern (868 5th Ave.) - Not only is Gaslamp Tavern opening at 9AM through the month of June, but they'll also offer specials on drink specials (including Bloody Marys and mimosas) during all Cup games, and breakfast till 11AM. 
  • Jolt'n Joe's (379 4th Ave.) - On Thursday, June 12th, Jolt'n Joe's will be kicking off the "Viva Brasil!" vibe with an opening night carnevale with drink specials, football (because that's what it's really called) giveaways, and samba dancers all night. Expect to immerse yourself in all things World Cup throughout the next month on their 50 (FIFTY!) flat-screen TVs and HD projectors.
  • Taste & Thirst (715 4th Ave.) - Be sure to follow Taste & Thirst on Twitter to get the latest on their specials during Cup games. Expect steep deals on drinks and appetizers (their happy hour from 3PM - 8PM features 50% off discounts!).
  • Whiskey Girl (702 5th Ave.) - Jerry and his team are opening the doors early for all the football action for the World Cup! Head there early at 9AM for morning matches and they'll reward you with FIFA contest giveaways and drink specials. There isn't a bad seat in the house, since every wall at Whiskey Girl has multiple flat-screen TVs.

Where can you go gluten-free in the Gaslamp? We get that question all the time. Bandar Restaurant is an official registered GIG member. Visit them to try their many delicious Persian dishes - you won't miss the gluten. Speaking of gluten-free, another new restaurant, 2B by 2GOOD2B, recently opened in the Gaslamp Quarter. They are the first completely gluten-free, soy-free and corn-free restaurant and bakery to open in the Downtown area. Be sure to visit them for delicious sandwiches, salads, pastas, chicken pot pie (yes, pot pie!), bakery items and their convenient grab-and-go counter. You can also eat gluten-free with specific menu items available at BiCE RistoranteBroken Yolk Cafe, Burger Lounge, Cafe Sevilla, Heavenly Cupcake, The Melting Pot, Operacaffe, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, TGI Friday's, The Tipsy Crow, and Toast Enoteca + Cucina.

2B by 2GOOD2B (423 F St.) is your Downtown source for gluten, corn and soy free foods that help you feel and live your best. The cafe offers full breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and soon, wine and gluten-free beer. Don't miss their ultra-convenient grab-and-go counter for those busy workers on the move.  


Allure Restaurant (825 4th Ave.) is the new family-run restaurant led by Executive Chef Melissa Magallon. Enjoy both modern and creative takes on fresh, seasonal dishes featured here. 


Encore Champagne Bar and Dining Room (545 F St.) this long-awaited lounge is now open in the former Kiyo's/LA Rack space. This 4,000 sq. ft. venue emphasizes the effervescent delights of champagne and shared plates full of delicious flavor, sans pretension.


Werewolf (627 4th Ave.), a new pub brought to you by the owners of The Waterfront Bar and Grill and Harbor Town Pub, is officially open in the old Gaijin space.


Coyote Ugly (820 5th Ave.) only took a couple months to re-vamp the Frauds and Swindlers space before opening to the public on February 5th. 


Union Kitchen & Tap (333 5th Ave.) after much success with their first location (Encinitas), Union Kitchen & Tap opened their second location here in the Gaslamp Quarter in the former Donovan's Prime Seafood space. Enjoy some of their signature dishes, plus some new menu additions as well. 



Tin Roof (401 G Street) a Nashville-based live music chain just opened its first West Coast location in the space that has housed Gaslamp's Rock Bottom Brewery for the past 15 years.  




Full Moon Sushi (926 5th Ave.) just opened and claims to be catering to the "casual upscale," their menu will be tapas-style with international influences.


Döner Mediterranean Grill (823 5th Ave.) - Enjoy healthy and organic döner here, with their delicious freshly made salads and spreads. 




Florent Restaurant & Lounge (672 5th Ave.) will be opening their doors soon (scheduled for "Spring 2014"), and will feature a menu crafted by Chef Richard Sweeney. 


Ramen Yamadaya (531 Broadway) is hoping to open its doors sometime in Summer 2014. They specialize in Tonkotsu Ramen, but have many other Japanese cuisine options available.
