Gaslamp Quarter Business Improvement District
Gaslamp Quarter Association Membership
The Gaslamp Quarter Association (GQA) has a sponsor, general and associate membership of over 400 businesses.
     The Gaslamp Quarter is a Business Improvement District (BID) established by Ordinance No. 15647 on January 4, 1982 and is located in the 16 and one half block area designated as the historic Gaslamp Quarter. General members are located within this boundary, while associate members are located outside. An assessment is levied annually for those businesses located within the Business Improvement District (BID).
      The City of San Diego has contracted with the Gaslamp Quarter Association to promote the district and enhance a sense of community within the Gaslamp Quarter.:

 

1. Sponsor Membership: (For businesses wishing to invest in creating enjoyable experiences for visitors and prosperity for the historic Gaslamp Quarter).

Gold Sponsor Membership-$15,000 (limit 4)
          Provides the following benefits for a two year period

   > Banner Sponsorship: Gold sponsor to appear on 60 seasonal or special event banners in the Gaslamp Quarter.  Banners will be up a minimum of 30 days per year, 5% of banner can be used to recognize the sponsor and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

   >Gaslamp Globe Advertising Space: Premier advertising space in the GQA quarterly electronic publication "The Gaslamp Globe" throughout the duration of the Gold Sponsor Membership (total: 8 ads).

   > Gaslamp VIP Package: One foursome and hole sponsorship at the annual Michael Jon Hogue Golf Tournament (each year), Four Auction tickets (each year), and Four Taste of Gaslamp tickets (each year).

   > Gold Sponsor Membership recognition at the annual awards ceremony.

   > Recognition as a Gold Sponsor on the sponsor plaque in the GQA office.

  > Plaque for Gold Sponsor member's office.

Silver Sponsor Membership-$5,000
          Provides the following benefits for a two year period

  >Gaslamp Globe Advertising Space : Advertising space in the GQA quarterly electronic publication "The Gaslamp Globe" throughout the duration of the Silver Sponsor Membership (total: 8 ads).

  >Gaslamp VIP Package: One hole sponsorship at the annual Michael Jon Hogue Golf Tournament, Four Auction tickets, Four Taste of Gaslamp tickets.

  >Silver Sponsor Membership Recognition at the Annual Awards Ceremony.

  >Recognition as a Silver Sponsor on the sponsor plaque in the GQA office.

  > Plaque for Silver Sponsor member's office.

Bronze Sponsor Membership-$1,500
          Provides the following benefits for a one year period

  >Gaslamp Globe Advertising Space: Half year of advertising space in the GQA quarterly electronic publication "The Gaslamp Globe" (total: 2 Ads)

  >Bronze Sponsor Membership Recognition at the Annual Awards Ceremony. Recognition as a Bronze Sponsor on the sponsor plaque in the GQA office.

  > Plaque for Bronze Sponsor member's office.

> Click Here for a Premier membership form.

2. General Membership:  (For businesses located within the Gaslamp Quarter boundaries; south of Broadway, north of Harbor between 4th and 6th Avenues and 1/2 block between Market & Island on 4th Avenue).

Benefits:
   > Opportunity to participate in the Gaslamp Quarter Association promotions and other cooperative marketing, advertising and media coverage opportunities.

   > Listing in historic heart of San Diego brochure. (limited to street level merchants)

   > Complete listing on web site

   > Subscription to the Gaslamp Globe & other information on local activities.

   > Members may serve on GQA Committees and may run for the Board of Directors.

3. Associate Membership: (For businesses located outside the Gaslamp Quarter boundaries. Membership application must be approved by the GQA Board of Directors). Non-Gaslamp, For profit Businesses: 1-9 employees= $275, 10-50 employees =$550, 51-75 employees =$900, 76+ employees= $1200, for Gaslamp Quarter residents -$150, Gaslamp Quarter Property Owners - $500, and not for profit businesses - $250 waiver application available

   > Opportunity to participate in the Gaslamp Quarter Association promotions and other cooperative marketing, advertising and media coverage opportunities.

   > Opportunity to advertise in historic heart of San Diego brochure. (listings limited to merchants witin footprint of National Historic)

   >Complete Listing on web site

   > Subscription to the Gaslamp Globe & other information on local activities.

   > Members may serve on GQA Committees and may run for the Board of Directors.
