Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade Presented by Downtown Ace Hardware

Once a year San Diego pets and owners are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes for a special promenade throughout the Gaslamp Quarter to celebrate the holiday season. You can only imagine the fun and excitement as downtown became filled with costumed pets & their handlers all vying for prizes and bragging rights including Best Costumed Duo, Cutest Critter, Best Pet Costume & Best of Show! Details on Categories below*
The Parade originates and concludes at the Hilton Park adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter at 4th Avenue and K Street. The Parade steps-off promptly at 3pm. Enjoy our Pet Expo in Hilton Park throughout the afternoon.
Don your best costume with your furry friends and join in the festivities!

Best of Show
Description: This is the overall category for those with a great costume, strong theme and character.
Winner will receive:
- VIP Guest pass at Landmark Theatres
- Beginner lesson for four at Vertical Hold Sport Climbing Center, including climbing, traditional belay lesson and gear for four people
- Six complimentary games of laser tag from ULTRAZONE - The Ultimate Laser Adventures
- Complimentary guest pass the Japanese Friendship Garden
- Complimentary one year explorer membership to the San Diego Museum of Man. Membership includes complimentary admission for two adults and their children (or grandchildren) under 17, members-only exhibition premier receptions, two complimentary admissions to Tower After Hours, and the quarterly newsletter, Discovery
Admission limited to available seating. Pass is not valid during Specially Engagements or when a "no-pass" policy is listed in daily newspaper ads or posted at box office. Expires December 31, 2012. Japanese Friendship Garden passes expire September 30, 2012. San Diego Museum of Man membership expires May 31, 2012. ULTRAZONE guests must be at least 7 years old to play, certificate cannot be substituted for any other use and expires May 7, 2012.

Best Costumed Duo
Description: It takes two! One pet and one owner or two pets - matching or contrasting - you name it. This one is for pairs in costume - yes, costumes are required!
Winner will receive:
- Four guest passes to San Diego Air & Space Museum
- Four general admission passes to the San Diego Natural History Museum
- Four complimentary admission passes to Petersen Automotive Museum
- Gift certificate for $50 to Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & Grill
San Diego Air & Space Museum passes are not valid for special exhibitions and expire July 1, 2012. San Diego Natural History Museum passes are not good for separately priced special exhibitions and do not include admission to 3D theater presentations. Petersen Automotive Museum passes expire September 22, 2012. Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill excludes tax and tip. Certificate or any part thereof cannot be refunded or credited and may not be used for gratuity or tax. Food and beverages must be consumed on premises.

Best Pet Costume
Description: This is one is judged specifically on the costume and the way that your pet wears it! Remember - attitude counts!
Winner will receive:

Cutest Critter
Description: All Contest Categories are open to all pets, but historically, we find most of the non-dog creatures entered in this Category. (Note, small dogs are also popular entries in this division.)
Winner will receive:
- Two and a half hour Gaslamp Segway tour for two guests from Another Side Tours
- Gift card for $50 to the Marble Room
For Gaslamp Segway Tour, please provide at least 24 hours notice to reserve this tour. Tour bookings are subject to availability and recipient must be 16 years of age or older to redeem. Marble Room gift card is good for one time use. No change will be given.
