The 13th annual San Diego Film Festival is one of the region's fasted growing cultural experiences and one of the most anticipated festivals on the circuit. For 5 days the Festival becomes the annual destination for a red-carpet cinematic immersion with thousands of film lovers, where you'll meet Hollywood insiders, filmmakers, celebrities, and major media who gather to enjoy the hottest and latest indie film offerings. The festival is a showcase of over 100 independent films from around the US and the world of emerging and veteran filmmakers. The San Diego Film Festival features two Film Villages set in Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter & ArcLight Cinemas La Jolla.
Produced by the educational nonprofit San Diego Film Foundation, the Festival is the foundations major fundraising event. The annual festival provides critical financial support for the Foundation’s efforts that benefits the operations and growth, enriches the arts community, supports educational outreach to students, showcases San Diego as an ideal film location, and as well, brings growing economic vitality to San Diego County.
