Be a Hollywood Insider at one of the most anticipated festivals on the circuit today. The 13th annual San Diego Film Festival brings a spectacular mix of over 100 independent films from around the US and the world in a showcase of emerging and veteran filmmakers. For five days the Festival becomes the annual destination for a red-carpet cinematic immersion with thousands where you'll meet Hollywood insiders, filmmakers, celebrities, other film enthusiasts and major media who gather to enjoy the hottest and latest indie film offerings in independent film. Previous Festival guests have included Gus Van Sant, Joaquin Phoenix, James Woods, Tatum O’Neal, Zach Braff, Colin Hanks, Jennifer Tilly, Joey Lauren Adams, Kevin Connelly, Christopher Masterson, Laura Prepon, James Van Der Beek and many others.
The San Diego Film Festival will feature over 100 new independent films over five days. Attendees have access to industry professionals and mingle with Hollywood’s hottest.
This year's San Diego Film Festivall will feature two Film Villages set in Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter & ArcLight Cinemas La Jolla.

Past film premieres have included The Queen, Born Into Brothels, Prime, Super Size Me, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, Garden State, Taxi to the Dark Side, The Devil Came on Horseback, Hustle & Flow, and “West Bank Story”.
Produced by the educational nonprofit San Diego Film Foundation, the Festival is the signature fundraising event, and as well, is one of region's fastest growing cultural experiences. The annual festival provides critical financial support for the Foundation’s efforts that benefits the operations and growth, enriches the arts community, supports educational outreach to students, showcases San Diego as an ideal film location, and as well, brings growing economic vitality to San Diego County.
