Nicolosi’s began as a bakery in Mission Hills owned by Salvatore Nicolosi in 1952. In 1958 the first Nicolosi’s Italian Restaurant was opened on Navajo road in the San Carlos region. Ron Burner, grandson of Salvatore, and Barb Burner, his wife, have been the power couple behind the local hotspot since 2009 and have now expanded to a second location in the Gaslamp Quarter.
The new Gaslamp location will serve many of the tried-and-true Nicolosi family recipes but will also host a new variety of gluten-free, vegan, and menu options.
