Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story Rocks the Horton Grand Theatre!

Intrepid Theatre Company has teamed up with New Village Arts to bring the beloved rock & roll musical Buddy The Buddy Holly Story to the Horton Grand Theatre. Buddy tells the true story of Buddy Holly’s meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when “That’ll be the Day” hit airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later on “the day the music died”.

Buddy will have you out of your chair, clapping your hands, and singing along to all your favorite hits. The cast does a phenomenal job bringing these stars to life in a dazzling display of classic American style. These rock stars ooze with a sophisticated cool that made the late 1950s so hip and unforgettable. Buddy is certainly a show for everyone looking to complement a fun night out on the town.

The show features over 20 of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits including “That’ll be the Day”, “Peggy Sue”, “Everyday”, “Oh Boy”, “Not Fade Away”, “Rave On”, and “Raining in My Heart”, plus Ritchie Valens “La Bamba” and the Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace”.

The incredible legacy of the young man with glasses, whose musical career spanned an all-too-brief period during the golden days of rock & roll, continues to live on in Buddy.

Performances will be running until July 2nd at the Horton Grand Theatre. Purchase tickets at
