With a new year underway, the distinguished galleries in the Gaslamp Quarter have new exhibitions planned to inspire collectors and guests to find photographs, paintings, and sculpture by new and established artists.

Sparks Gallery- 530 Sixth Ave

The Sparks Gallery is housed within the historic Sterling Hardware Building in San Diego’s vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, located between Island & Market on Sixth Avenue. Sparks Gallery is also an event space and represents contemporary artwork by artists living in San Diego and Southern CA.

Up and Coming Exhibition– “Edge of the Ocean/ A Group Show” Feb. 19-May 21- Exhibiting Southern California artists whose artworks are inspired by the San Diego coast. The artists’ work on view will show their interpretations of the San Diego coastline: capturing the feeling of the sand, water, wind, animal life and plant life, as well as the natural beauty of the shape & form of the edge of the ocean. Artists on view include Li Huai, Gloria Muriel, Stefanie Bales, Sherry Krulle-Beaton, Jon Barnes, and Roy Kerckhoffs’

Home of the Legendary Looney Tunes Animation Director Chuck Jones. The Chuck Jones Gallery represents the incredible artwork of many animation legends and pop culture giants!

Up and Coming Exhibition: “Down the Rabbit Hole” the artwork of Karen and Tony Barone March 13- April 1st- Karen and Tony Barone, the renowned wife & husband artist couple whose works have been exhibited and collected around the world, now reside in Southern California’s Palm Springs Valley in a home and studio compound they call their “paradiso secco” (dry paradise). As sculptors, Karen and Tony have amassed a “big” reputation for life-size figurative and jumbo larger-than -life objective outdoor and indoor metal sculpture in sparkly and shiny color show-car paints and exotic patina. They also have paintings and make regal and important the things considered ordinary and everyday.

Brokers Building Gallery- 402 Market Street

The Brokers Building is an Artist’s Consortium in downtown San Diego where artist’s rent individual spaces. The Gallery has group and individual shows to showcase their artist’s vast and individual styles.

Michael J Wolf Fine Arts is located in the historic Brunswick Building and celebrating 20 years in the Gaslamp Quarter. They have been the premier exhibitor of fine arts and original works from emerging local, national and international artists.

The Art of Tim Cantor- 527 4th Avenue

The works of Tim Cantor are beautifully displayed at the Art of Tim Cantor Gallery. Tim Cantor is an American self-taught surrealism artist and writer. Tim was raised in Marin County, CA. and began painting at the age of 5 using a box of oil paints and brushes that were his great-grandfather’s.
