ShamROCK is on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17th, 2018 from 4:00 PM to Midnight
“Sláinte”! The 24th Annual San Diego shamROCK returns Saturday, March 17th, from 4pm to Midnight, to bring the biggest, most epic St. Patrick’s Day celebration that Southern California has ever seen!
The highly anticipated 2018 shamROCK lineup boasts a wide range of talented musicians and artists across three stages that will have party goers shaking their shamrocks all night long. The Pint Stage will be providing a full lineup of the nation’s top Irish, Celtic and Rock bands, including the Irish man of many genres, Everlast. Once best known for his 1992 single “Jump Around” with House of Pain, Everlast has since created a beautiful blend of mood and meaning into his music, with hits such as “What It’s Like” and “White Trash Beautiful”. Everlast will share The Pint Stage with Black Irish Texas, Drunken Lullabies, Lexington Field and The Fooks. With Guinness-fueled lyricism, Black Irish Texas will navigate you between Toomy Makem, Psychobilly and a Texas two-step all in one show. While Drunken Lullabies will leave you thirsty for libations with their green grass-roots musical influence of Irish pub shout-alongs! Lexington Field is rock music with a fiddle right in the epicenter. Their original sound and high energy live show is something you don’t want to miss! Since forming in 2007 in ‘America’s Finest City’, The Fooks have proudly and loudly been producing America’s Finest Irish Noise. Whether rocking their own versions of traditional Irish tunes, or covering the likes of The Pogues, Flogging Molly, or The Dropkick Murphy’s, The Fooks always deliver a rollicking good time!
Head to The Pub Stage for a special guest performance by hip hop legend Too $hort. Being one of the first rap stars in the West Coast, with a hefty list of recordings featuring iconic rappers such as 2Pac, the Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z, Too $hort has a wide range of popular hits, both old and new to make this bash one for the books. From “The Ghetto”, “Shake That Monkey”, to collaborating with Chris Brown and Lil Wayne on “Loyal”, this is a performance you won’t want to miss! Also featured on The Pub Stage are San Diego-based performers DJ Kaos, Jamie Stacks & DJ HeartAttak, Vtech, and Mkey. DJ Kaos is a San Diego nightlife favorite with a large range of sounds from hip-hop to oldies and EDM to 90’s pop rock. Another experienced performer across both coasts of the US and Canada, Jamie Stacks & DJ HeartAttak give their unique set of musical skills an advantage in setting the right mood for any party on any given night. Catch Vtech cuttin’ and scratchin’ while throwing in some wild curveballs to accommodate any crowd. A professional open format DJ who plays the freshest music mixed with all the most beloved bangers from the past, she will surprise you in the best way possible! The Gaslamp Quarter has been the stomping grounds for DJ M-key since 2012. Known for bringing an extremely diverse and always energetic performance to the most upscale clubs in San Diego, this young and upcoming DJ knows just what it takes to get your clovers shaking!
Bringing more high energy vibes to this year’s shamROCK will be nationally-recognized DJs Cheyenne Giles, Escobar, and Sulvida on The Clover Stage, in addition to more exciting announcements to come! Gaining support from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Martin Solveig, Shaun Frank, Skrillex, Diplo and more, Cheyenne Giles has no plans of slowing down as he approaches his most anticipated show of 2018 at this year’s shamROCK festival. ESCOBAR is a heavy electronic and progressive house music inspired DJ who will definitely be changing up the atmosphere this year. For those who want to dance to something different, stop by to see ESCOBAR as his truly inspiring sound gets the crowd up and shuffling. Sulvida had a natural attraction to electronic music, even before he knew what it was. This passion turned into a full-time music career, landing gigs at some of the best venues across the U.S., including Hard Rock Hotel San Diego’s NYE 2016 party alongside Dirty South and Ty Dolla $ign.
