Featured New Works / Sie & Barnes – Here & There

Lee Sie and Jon Barnes are both talented San Diego photographers who have captured images along the California coast, as well as abroad. Jon Barnes’ international focus for the show is a recent trip to Iceland with dreamy images of the coast waterfalls, and villages, while Lee Sie’s images of Europe, particularly Tuscany, are striking and almost painterly. Paired together, one can see two distinctive visions of the world through each artist’s photographs.

FREE EVENT – RSVP is required for the opening reception. Wine sales from opening reception to benefit Synergy Dog Rescue.

Family Moon Festival

The Chinese celebrate the Moon or Mid-Autumn Festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month by savoring the full moon, the bounty of the harvest, and delicious mooncakes. As a traditional event at the museum, we celebrate the brightest full moon of the year with families. Visitors will be able to make lanterns, hear Chinese riddles, and learn stories from our Education staff. We hope you can join us on September 23.
